Referral partners · solar, battery, EV & efficiency installers

The job is won, and then it stalls at finance.

Your customer wants the system and the quote stacks up. Then the funding covers only the panels and batteries, not the switchboard, the labour or the compliance works, and the job stalls. Clean Finance funds the whole project, so it does not.

The problem you already know

Your quote is bigger than the equipment

Lenders fund against tax invoices for assets. Everything else on your quote falls out, and it is the part your customer can least afford to find in cash.

A typical commercial quote, funded by asset finance alone
Panels · inverters · batteries · chargers
Not funded
Funded: the hardware on the tax invoice Not funded: electrical & switchboard works, installation labour, scaffolding and EWP, roof strengthening, permits, grid connection fees, design
The same quote through Clean Finance
Asset finance: the equipment
Business loan or soft-cost facility

We arrange both: asset finance for the hardware, and a business loan, soft-cost facility or Environmental Upgrade Agreement for the rest. Your customer signs one job, not seventy percent of one.

What's in it for you

Fewer stalled quotes, and a referral share

An answer the same day

Our software reads your customer's quote and financials and checks them against lender criteria, so you usually know the same business day whether the job is fundable, rather than after days spent on a quote that cannot be paid for.

The whole project funded

Hardware and the works around it. The gap that stalls jobs is the one we're built to close, so quotes convert instead of sitting in limbo.

Referral share on settlement

Paid when the loan settles. Never a cost to you, and never a fee to your customer for the referral. Terms agreed up front and disclosed.

We know the green lenders

CEFC-backed programs, specialist energy financiers, PPAs and Environmental Upgrade Agreements, matched on who will actually approve your customer rather than who answers first.

The paperwork is handled

Eligibility, structure, lender submission and follow-up. You install; we deal with the finance end and keep you updated at each stage.

Backed and accountable

Clean Finance is a division of L&J Advisory, an established Australian advisory practice. Every deal comes with the lender commission disclosed up front.

How the referral works

Send us the job and we take it from there

No portal to learn, no agreement to sign before your first deal. Send one job and see how it goes.

Send us the deal

The form below, or just email us the quote. We need the customer, the project and whether they own or lease the premises. That last one decides which structures are even available.

We assess and match

Readiness check, incentives your customer can stack, and the right structure and lender. Usually same day. If they're not fundable yet, we tell you exactly what would fix it.

We settle, you get paid

We package the application, manage it through to settlement, and keep you posted at each stage. Your referral share is paid on settlement.

Worth knowing right now · NSW

A new commercial battery incentive opened on 1 September

NSW now offers a discount of roughly 20–40% off installed cost for business batteries from 20 kWh up to 30 MWh, with the higher rate where new solar is installed within 90 days at a capacity of at least 25% of the battery. It's delivered as an upfront discount through an accredited provider, and it stacks with the federal small-scale scheme on the solar.

It's new enough that it wasn't listed on the state's own programs index when we checked. If you have NSW battery quotes sitting unconverted, they're worth revisiting this month.

Verified against NSW Government sources in September 2026. Confirm current eligibility before relying on it; we can help you check a specific job.

Questions

What installers ask us

Does it cost me or my customer anything?
No. The readiness check is free, there's no fee to you for referring, and your customer isn't charged for the referral. We're paid a commission by the lender when a loan settles, and we disclose it.
How is the referral share worked out?
It is a share of the commission we earn, paid on settlement, so we are only paid when you are, and only when the deal actually completes. We agree the terms with you in writing before your first settlement rather than burying them in fine print.
Do I need to sign an agreement first?
Not to send us a job. Send one and see how we handle it. We'll put a simple referral agreement in place before anything settles, so the commission arrangement and your customer's privacy are properly documented.
Will you go around me and deal with my customer directly?
No. We arrange finance; we don't sell or install systems, so we're not a competitor. The job stays yours, and we keep you in the loop at each stage rather than working around you.
What if my customer leases their premises?
Still fundable, but the structure changes. Because rooftop solar becomes a fixture, a standard equipment loan is the weakest option there; a rental payment plan, a PPA or a business loan usually fits better. Landlord consent is generally needed, and if the landlord is willing to take the project on themselves, an Environmental Upgrade Agreement may suit them, since that one is entered into by the building owner rather than the tenant. Tell us the remaining lease term and we'll steer it.
How quickly will I hear back?
Usually the same business day for an initial read on whether the job is fundable and how we'd structure it. Formal lender approval depends on the lender and how complete the customer's financials are.
What size jobs do you take?
Commercial and industrial projects, typically $50,000 to $5 million. We are set up to work smaller jobs profitably too, the sort that traditional brokers decline because the commission does not cover their hours.
